The division received 5,232 unit orders for Korea's first independently designed in-house engine, the Hyundai HiMSEN. This is a reflection of the remarkable growth in the medium-speed engine market and confirms Hyundai’s place as a leader in the medium-speed engine market as well.

The sale of Diesel Power Plants including Packaged Power Stations has dramatically increased in 32 countries such as Cuba, Brazil, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and many Asian countries. Sales of industrial pumps and robot systems are also increasing rapidly. These products have become strategic items in the division's plan for long-term growth.

In terms of innovative and cutting-edge technology, the division’s 14 products: Diesel Power Plants, Packaged Power Stations, Industrial Robots, Cargo Oil Pump and Side Thruster, and such Nine marine engine-related items as 2-Stroke engine, 4-Stroke engine, Crankshaft, Propeller, Marine Propulsion Shafts, etc. were selected as World-Class Products by the Korean government.
